Developmental Editing
This is usually the first step in the editing process. A developmental editor will take a broad look at the components of your narrative. The editor will help you structure your story. They will make suggestions to patch holes in plot, character development, setting and descriptions. The developmental editor will point out the areas that move the story forward and areas that detract and stall.
Our editors will provide an editorial report and manuscript notations. The editorial report will provide an overview of the editors impressions your manuscript, recommendation for changes, along with feedback on what’s working well.
The notations include a ‘marked up’ version of the actual manuscript with detailed suggestions for changes.
